About the position

The Financial Controller is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing financial reporting, internal and external communications, and providing excellent customer service to department heads. This position requires a solid accounting background, knowledge of GAAP, and substantial management experience across various financial functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate financial reporting for MWSCO, MWS-KP, TOPLEASCO
• Manage the staff and functions of the Accounting Department to ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting of accounting activity
• Work with department heads to complete annual budgets
• Prepare year-end documents for accountants as necessary
• Prepare for annual audits, insurance quoting, and GAWDA sponsored PAR report
• Oversee cash position
• Maintain and project the professional reputation of MWSCO through all interactions

Requirements

• Four year degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 5+ years of leadership and management experience in industrial distribution preferred
• Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting, analysis and reporting of financial data and business and management principles
