Financial Controller at doxy.me is a pivotal role that oversees all accounting functions within the organization. As the world's most loved telemedicine solution, doxy.me is on a mission to connect the world to the future of healthcare, ensuring that cost and complexity are never barriers to telemedicine. The company has grown significantly since its inception in 2013, serving over 1 million healthcare providers across 180+ countries and facilitating over 8 billion minutes of telemedicine sessions. The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and leading a dynamic accounting team. In this role, the Financial Controller will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with GAAP. This includes providing insights and analysis to senior management to support strategic decision-making. The Controller will also manage and coordinate external audits, acting as the primary liaison between auditors and internal teams to ensure that all financial statements and disclosures comply with GAAP. A key responsibility will be the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606, analyzing complex revenue transactions, and implementing effective revenue recognition policies. The Controller will develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Familiarity with ASC 326 (CECL) is also essential, as the Controller will oversee the implementation and maintenance of CECL requirements, ensuring accurate estimation of credit losses and compliance with the latest accounting standards. Additionally, the Financial Controller will oversee the creation, approval, and monitoring of expense processes, ensuring that all expenses are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies. Leading and mentoring the accounting team is a vital aspect of this role, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment while providing guidance on complex accounting issues and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

  • Act as the primary liaison between auditors and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of professional accounting experience, with previous exposure to leading a team, ideally within a SaaS environment.
  • Previous experience as a Controller.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant) strongly preferred.
  • Sage Intacct experience is highly preferred.
