About the position

The Financial Controller position is a critical role within our rapidly growing healthcare organization located in Garden Grove, CA. This position is designed for an experienced financial professional who will be responsible for developing and implementing financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Financial Controller will prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and conduct risk analyses to support the organization's strategic goals. This role requires collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the leadership team to create accurate forecasts and budgets that align with the company's financial objectives. In addition to financial reporting and compliance, the Financial Controller will establish and implement a training program for new finance employees, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. The position also involves liaising with auditors to maintain appropriate monitoring of company finances and analyzing financial data to assess the company's financial status and performance. The Financial Controller will drive the company's financial planning and decision-making processes, ensuring that all actions comply with legal standards and company policies. This role includes managing a team of financial assistants and professionals, providing guidance and leadership to ensure that appropriate financial processes are utilized throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate finance and accounting principles, with a proven track record of working with senior management to implement cost-saving measures through effective budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and leadership team to create forecasts and budgets.
  • Create budgets and forecasts for the company.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, or a similar role for a minimum of 3 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • A proven track record of working with senior management to drive cost-saving measures through budgeting and forecasting.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
