About the position

We are seeking a skilled Financial Coordinator with experience in periodontics to join our team at our state-of-the-art general and specialty dental clinic. This role focuses on managing financial operations within a dental specialty practice, ensuring effective communication with patients and the clinical team, and overseeing billing and insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with dentists to develop detailed treatment and billing plans for both standard and complex cases.
• Present financial details and treatment options to patients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable with their care decisions.
• Oversee patient billing and payments, including arranging advance payments and obtaining necessary payment approvals.
• Submit insurance claims, ensure timely collection and posting of payments, and manage recurring bill payments for the office while maintaining payment security.
• Manage patient records, assist with insurance verification and treatment authorizations, and collect planned payments promptly.
• Facilitate effective communication between the clinical team and patients.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining positive relationships with patients, ensuring ongoing support and satisfaction throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Financial Coordinator in a dental practice required.
• Experience in periodontics preferred.
• Strong knowledge of both general and periodontic treatments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle large, multi-phase treatment cases.
• Proficiency with Carestack dental practice management software and administrative systems (preferred).
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
