The Financial/Cost Analyst position is a vital role within the accounting team, responsible for ensuring the integrity, reporting, and timeliness of all cost accounting data that feeds into the SAP General Ledger system. This role involves applying principles of accounting and finance to analyze trends related to product costing, plant performance, and product profitability. The analyst will utilize data from the SAP system and other company sources to transform raw data into actionable information, which will be communicated across various business facets to highlight successes and identify opportunities for improvement. This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work, which provides flexibility while maintaining essential team collaboration. In this role, the Financial/Cost Analyst will support programs that ensure a comprehensive understanding of costs, facilitating clear communication within the business. The analyst will partner with the Cost Accounting Manager to lead the month-end close process, preparing and distributing relevant financial reports. High-level time management, prioritization, and communication skills are essential to meet the needs of both internal and external business partners effectively. The analyst will be responsible for compiling and reporting various transactional data, identifying trends, and suggesting improvement opportunities. Additional responsibilities include supporting Co-Pack pricing and contract compliance, overseeing cycle count programs and inventory control, and assisting in the creation and analysis of profitability matrices for customer-level performance assessments. The analyst will collaborate with the Supply Chain group to monitor raw material costs and their impact on overall product costing. Furthermore, this position serves as a key contact for the timely and accurate completion of annual financial audit documents and responses, while also documenting departmental processes and workflows. Special projects, data interpretation, and forecasting will also be part of the analyst's duties, along with interfacing with the SAP ERP system to support business operations.
