The Financial Counselor position at Columbus Regional Hospital involves providing financial counseling assistance to patients or their guarantors to help settle outstanding hospital balances. This role primarily focuses on customer service, addressing inquiries related to patient accounts, and collaborating with other departments to resolve financial issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial counseling assistance to patients or guarantors of patient accounts.
- Resolve outstanding hospital service balances due for services rendered.
- Answer customer service phone line and make calls to customers regarding patient accounts.
- Collaborate with other Patient Financial Services Department employees and internal hospital staff.
Requirements
- High School graduate with six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
