About the position

The Financial Crime Risk Analyst II role at TD Bank is focused on providing analytical, research, and assessment support to enhance the enterprise's Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) programs and processes. This position involves interaction with key stakeholders and third-party service providers to ensure compliance with AML, ATF, Sanctions, and ABAC regulations. The analyst will also be responsible for reviewing high-risk customer and transactional information, resolving data issues, and creating insightful dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical, research, and assessment support for FCRM programs and processes.
  • Interact with stakeholders and third-party service providers to deliver compliance programs.
  • Review higher risk customer or transactional information.
  • Resolve outstanding data issues and create innovative dashboards and reports.
  • Conduct ongoing data mining to ensure artifacts provide value, including root cause variance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of summaries, communications, reports, and presentations for management and regulators.
  • Analyze data and draw conclusions to meet program health reporting requirements.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to FCRM-related gaps and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, data analytics, etc.).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial crime risk management or related fields.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Excel, Tableau, SAS, and Power BI.
  • Experience with data ingestion from various sources (e.g., API-SOAP, OAuth, JSON, MSSQL, CSV/TXT, Excel).
  • Ability to manage and optimize database and data warehouse systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience navigating large data sets and ability to extrapolate technical/complex issues.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft BI stack, including SSAS and SSRS.
  • Hands-on experience in developing SQL relational tables, OLAP cubes, and data marts.
