About the position

The Financial Crimes and Sanctions Compliance Analyst - Program Manager role at Apple is a critical position within the Global Export and Sanctions Compliance (GESC) group. This position involves identifying and investigating activities that may pose risks related to sanctions and financial crimes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong business acumen and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sanctioned party reviews as the escalation point for all tiered reviews at the company.
  • Partner with management to continually optimize and enhance the compliance program.
  • File compliance reports with regulators as needed and directed by management.
  • Maintain program level indicators and supervise sanctions reviews across business groups.
  • Assist management in maintaining program documentation and metrics.
  • Interact with relevant teams to raise awareness of sanctions trends and emerging issues.
  • Conduct and lead investigations of customers, business partners, and transactions according to established policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with third parties on compliance data, tools, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze and make decisions on unusual findings related to sanctioned individuals or criminal activities.
  • Conduct searches, gather data, and record evidence from various resources.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of analysis performed.
  • Support special projects or critical casework.
  • Support record keeping and documentation efforts.
  • Multitask and remain organized and detail-oriented.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in reviews, investigation, and resolution of sanctions, fraud or related terrorist financing issues.
  • Experience using industry standard sanctions screening systems/tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, CAMS/CGSS preferred.
