About the position

The Financial Data Analyst at IT Concepts will support the intelligence customer by maintaining and operating a government database that aids in planning and executing civilian pay for the workforce. This role involves managing payroll data, constructing budget trackers, developing dashboards, and ensuring accurate reporting for manpower and contractor costs. The analyst will work independently in a mid-level, non-managerial capacity, providing analytical support to the Human Resources department and contributing to business process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate a government database for civilian pay planning and execution.
  • Manage payroll data from the National Security Agency on SQL Server for pay execution and planning.
  • Complete payroll reports on biweekly awards, overtime, and audit requirements.
  • Construct and manage the budget transfer tracker and conduct analysis for promotion allocations.
  • Develop an FTE dashboard tool to facilitate decision-making based on FTE usage and future plans.
  • Maintain the CFO3 manpower database for quick data analysis.
  • Update contractor workforce costing and Federally Funded Research and Development databases.
  • Establish additional databases and write scripts for new reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in data analytics, finance, or equivalent.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Experience with SQL (queries).
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is mandatory.
  • Financial analysis experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience in applying analytics best practices to human capital problems.
  • Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience in Workforce/Talent Management/Analytics.
  • Experience creating Tableau dashboards for financial products.
  • Experience with web development to support financial reporting.
