We are assisting a client in their search for a talented individual to fill this exciting position in Charlotte, NC. As a Financial Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Balance Sheet Management's Net Interest Income (NII) and Interest Rate Risk (IRR) forecasts. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data, conducting in-depth analysis, and driving process improvements. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data for the Current Position (CP) process, research and resolve data-related issues and questions, and serve as a subject matter expert on data mapping, aggregation, and filtering. You will collaborate with end-users to understand and document data requirements, partner with technology developers to implement data changes and enhancements, and manage risk responsibly by monitoring data quality and prioritizing tasks. This position requires a proactive approach to data management and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data for the Current Position (CP) process.
  • Research and resolve data-related issues and questions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data mapping, aggregation, and filtering.
  • Collaborate with end-users to understand and document data requirements.
  • Partner with technology developers to implement data changes and enhancements.
  • Manage risk responsibly by monitoring data quality and prioritizing tasks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in database querying tools (e.g., Toad for Oracle, SQL Server) with strong SQL skills (COUNT, SUM, JOIN, Case statements).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (COUNT, COUNTIF, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF, MAX, MIN, AVERAGE, Pivot Tables).
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience validating, reconciling, and analyzing data.
  • Proven track record of delivering process improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
