About the position

The Financial Data Analyst position is a full-time role that requires a strong analytical background and proficiency in financial data management. The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating and generating cash collections and expense reporting through the use of database mining tools, text files, and Microsoft Excel. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. The analyst will develop and maintain daily operational cash reconciliation and summary reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Additionally, the analyst will provide various summary reports to the accounting team, facilitating informed decision-making and financial oversight. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Financial Data Analyst will work closely with the Accounting, Treasury, and Analyst teams. Daily communication with these departments is essential to ensure alignment on financial operations and reporting requirements. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while also being an effective team player. The ability to analyze data critically and present findings clearly will be crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and generate cash collections and expense reporting using database mining tools, text files, and MS Excel.
  • Develop and maintain daily operational cash reconciliation and summary reports.
  • Develop and provide various summary reporting to the accounting team.
  • Work and communicate daily with the Accounting, Treasury, and Analyst team members.

Requirements

  • College degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, BCIS, or other computer-related or quantitative field, or equivalent related experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of related experience in an analytic position.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently; able to also work effectively as a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAS or SQL is highly desired.
