About the position

The Financial Execution Analyst will provide comprehensive financial management support to the Department of the Air Force's Defense Sensitive Support (DAF DSS) program. This role involves resource management, budgetary actions, financial reconciliation, and program reporting to ensure mission success. The individual will work closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) financial management guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and report DAF DSS financial data to leadership and stakeholders
  • Analyze financial data using systems such as DEAMS, CRIS, and Microsoft Excel
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership and government stakeholders
  • Monitor monthly obligations and expenditures, identifying under/over obligations
  • Ensure accurate execution of the DAF DSS program budget
  • Develop budget forecasts and multi-year budget requests
  • Identify unliquidated obligations and erroneous financial processing
  • Ensure programmatic compliance with DoD and Air Force financial policies
  • Maintain and develop financial governance documents
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with program managers to develop advocacy strategies
  • Provide strategic recommendations on financial management decisions
  • Evaluate the financial health of the program and present recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with classified information handling guidelines
  • Manage secure access and maintain accountability for pass and identification items
  • Prepare after-action and trip reports following travel or technical meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (highly desired)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in government financial resource management
  • DoD Financial Management (FM) Level 2 certification or equivalent (highly desired)
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as DEAMS, CRIS, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with eligibility for Special Access Program (SAP) indoctrination
