Responsibilities
- Monitor and examine the condition of state-chartered credit unions in Michigan.
- Meet with management teams and boards of directors to provide guidance and evaluate compliance with regulations.
- Analyze financial performance and identify risks within credit unions.
- Develop solutions and support conclusions based on examination findings.
- Participate in webinars, conference calls, and employee development training.
- Travel to diverse work locations for examinations, training opportunities, and conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a business major including finance, law, management, marketing or economics, and accounting credits.
- 1 year of experience in a relevant field for Financial Institution Examiner 10 level.
- 2 years of experience in a relevant field for Financial Institution Examiner 11 level.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in financial institution commercial credit analysis/underwriting, commercial lending, loan review, audit, compliance, and risk management.
- Experience with insurance accounting, internal/external audit, actuarial and risk management.
