About the position

The Financial Integrity Specialist position is a critical role within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), specifically in the Office of Federal Assistance and Acquisition Management. This position focuses on ensuring that operational and fiscal activities align with HRSA's mission and objectives. The specialist will utilize complex analytic techniques to assess existing controls, develop new auditing methods, and coordinate with program officials to evaluate and improve organizational operations and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Use complex analytic techniques to determine the sufficiency of existing controls.
• Develop new auditing techniques and review approaches where no precedent exists.
• Coordinate with program officials to evaluate complex organizational operations and recommend improvements or internal controls.
• Design and collect relevant data from grants, contracts, or agreements, analyze the data, and formulate comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations.
• Review written reports and supporting work paper files.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must meet Time-in-Grade by the closing date of this announcement.
• One full year of specialized experience comparable to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service, including providing technical guidance in identifying and resolving fiscal accounting deficiencies in federally funded grant programs.
• Experience in providing advice on the interpretation and application of federal fiscal policies, regulations, and legislation relevant to federally funded grant programs.
