About the position

The Financial Intelligence Lead - Card Fraud at Associated Bank is responsible for directing a team of Financial Intelligence Analysts, ensuring the quality and timeliness of investigations into suspicious activities. This role involves supervising investigations, conducting quality assessments, and collaborating with various business units to enhance the efficiency of fraud detection processes. The position requires a strong understanding of financial crime trends and the ability to prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a team of Financial Intelligence Analysts on a daily basis.
  • Conduct ongoing quality assessments of alert documentation, escalation, and decisions made by the assigned analysts.
  • Supervise investigations of complex cases throughout the Associated Bank footprint.
  • Make recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of department processes and procedures.
  • Research and understand money laundering and financial crime trends to apply intelligence to observed activity in customer accounts.
  • Interact with Retail, Commercial, and other business unit managers across Associated Bank.
  • Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, Banking, Security, Business or Law Enforcement.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, Banking, Security, Business or related field.
  • Less than 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • CAMS-Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist within 2 years preferred.
  • CFE-Certified Fraud Examiner within 2 years preferred.
