About the position

The Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP) at The Cigna Group is designed for exceptional MBA candidates or experienced CPA professionals who aspire to become influential leaders in the healthcare industry. This rotational program is committed to nurturing talent and fostering leadership skills through a structured development model. Participants will engage in four to five cross-functional rotations, each lasting between 18 to 24 months, allowing them to gain a comprehensive understanding of various business functions and the healthcare ecosystem. The program is tailored to align with individual career goals and the strategic needs of The Cigna Group, ensuring that associates are well-prepared for key leadership roles upon completion. Throughout the program, associates will receive accelerated professional development, which includes training in technical, management, and healthcare topics. They will act as trusted advisors, making direct contributions to business results while gaining exposure to senior leaders through mentorship and networking opportunities. The program emphasizes the importance of understanding key stakeholders within the healthcare sector, as well as the diverse customer segments and distribution channels that The Cigna Group serves. Key rotational areas within the program include Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting/Audit, Underwriting, Data & Analytics, Healthcare Pricing, Provider Contracting and Operations, Corporate Strategy & Development, Treasury/Capital Management, and Robotic Process Engineering. The program is based at The Cigna Corporation headquarters in Bloomfield, CT, with additional opportunities in Nashville, TN, Philadelphia, PA, Saint Louis, MO, Chattanooga, TN, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, and Morris Plains, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in four to five rotational assignments across various functions within the organization.
  • Engage in professional development training focused on technical, management, and healthcare topics.
  • Act as a trusted advisor with a direct impact on business results.
  • Network with senior leaders and receive mentorship and leadership coaching.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and customer segments.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a valid CPA license.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated initiative and dedication to becoming a multi-talented business leader.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and influencing within a matrixed organization.
