About the position

In this role, you will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, and financial management policy and procedures within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution. You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization. This includes conducting management evaluations of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports and budget reviews, and recommending alternatives for corrective action. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that financial policies are adhered to and that the organization operates within its budgetary constraints. You will be expected to analyze national level or exceptionally large programs, developing, recommending, and implementing budgetary and financial policies. Your role will also involve interpreting, assessing, and projecting the potential impact of new or revised legislation on the organization’s financial operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and rendering authoritative interpretations of guidance related to financial management, ensuring that all financial practices align with federal regulations and standards. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management principles and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that financial strategies support the overall mission of the organization, and you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, and financial management policy and procedures.
  • Provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must meet time-in-grade requirements if currently a federal employee.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must achieve Financial Management Level II certification within prescribed timelines.
