About the position

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the DEPUTY COMMANDANT FOR INFORMATION of HQ US MARINE CORPS. This position involves analyzing and interpreting budgetary, legal, regulatory, and accounting reports, providing financial management solutions, and implementing controls over approved budgets to support the organization's programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Read, analyze, and interpret budgetary, legal, regulatory, and accounting reports.
• Provide alternative financial management solutions to changing program objectives.
• Provide effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and the use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
• Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
• Analyze and recommend cost and benefit alternatives for the financial management organization's programs and administrative operations.
• Implement internal controls and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Must achieve Financial Management Level II certification within prescribed timelines.
• Must complete training and maintain a government credit card for travel-related purchases.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience formulating, reviewing, and evaluating budget requests and estimates.
• Experience presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
