About the position

The Financial Management Analyst position is part of the PhD Recent Graduate Program at the General Services Administration (GSA). This one-year program offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain professional and technical training, mentoring, and developmental experiences within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer in Kansas City, MO. The role involves preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting various business lines and programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reports and other financial statements.
• Perform financial transactions and assist with research associated with business lines and programs.
• Retrieve, analyze, organize, and distribute vendor and financial data to ensure complete and reliable financial information.
• Monitor and track expenditures and revenue.
• Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of operating and financial data for compliance with policies.

Requirements

• US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island).
• Must provide college transcript.
• Must meet eligibility requirements within 30 days of announcement closing date.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service, or a master's degree, or a combination of graduate education and appropriate experience.
