About the position

The Financial Management Analyst will serve within the Navy Exchange Service Command, focusing on budget administration and financial management. The role involves advising on budgetary policies, implementing regulatory controls, and providing guidance on the effective use of funds to support organizational programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
• Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
• Provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds.
• Develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of financial management and budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience in analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management.
• Ability to interpret budgetary/accounting policies and practices to resolve technical and operational problems.
• Experience in presenting and defending financial reports and estimates to senior leadership.
• Experience in establishing, monitoring, and validating financial management commitments and obligations.
