About the position

You will serve as a GG-12 Financial Management Analyst working in a senior capacity performing assignments and completing on-the-job and formal training related to a variety of duties. You will carry out specific assignments with minimal supervision associated with analyzing, advising, processing, and recording of financial documentation and data. This position is located at CWG-SIX in Fort Meade, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Review and enter financial data in the Command Financial Management System (CFMS) and Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS).
• Assist in maintaining labor and non-labor financial accounts.
• Ensure assigned obligation documents are entered into the Command Financial Management System (CFMS) and Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS) and worked to completion as quickly as possible.
• Serve as a backup to the Command Financial Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA) responsible for loading, monitoring, and updating funding levels as necessary.
• Serve as the Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application (SLDCADA) backup administrator ensuring timekeeping data for each payroll period is accurately reflected.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
• You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
• This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
• Financial Management Level II Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d.
