Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate the effects of changes in financial program plans.
• Resolve financial problems and develop alternative funding methods.
• Interpret financial reports and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Provide a full range of financial functions for accounting data for prior and current fiscal years.
• Review and correct errors in reported financial data.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be registered with Selective Service if applicable.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal service, or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or a combination of experience and education.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and present budget requests to senior management.
• Experience in developing management processes and program administration procedures.
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• DoD Financial Management Certification level 2 (must be achieved within two years of entering the position).
