About the position

The Financial Management Analyst will serve in the Comptroller Department at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting and budget execution functions, performing financial analysis, and preparing financial status reports for management. The position requires a focus on financial management execution, including obligation and expenditure forecasting, and advising on effective fund utilization to support organizational programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with accounting and budget formulation/execution functions.
• Perform financial analysis in payroll and Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR).
• Prepare financial status reports and execution briefs for management.
• Monitor budget execution of overhead and direct material obligations.
• Analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative financial management methods.
• Provide advice on effective acquisition methods and fund utilization.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level.
• Experience in accounting, financial management, or budgetary planning and analysis.
• Ability to ensure compliance with Federal laws, policies, and regulations.
