About the position

The Financial Management Specialist position at FEMA's Office of the Chief Financial Officer involves managing financial activities related to interagency agreements and reimbursables. Responsibilities

  • Analyze, reconcile, and adjust appropriations and other budgetary accounts to ensure accuracy and propriety.
  • Investigate and correct out-of-line and out-of-balance conditions.
  • Reconcile source documents to determine the accuracy of transactions.
  • Maintain current and accurate bills, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compile and summarize financial information and quantitative data for internal and external use.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, including experience in analyzing and reconciling invoices and accounting data.
  • A Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field, or two years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
  • Combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.

Nice-to-haves
