We are seeking a Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Analyst to provide support to COMNAVSURFPAC by gathering information and data, conducting analysis, and advising on appropriate courses of action for business operations improvement. The role involves providing support to accomplish MICP and FIAR programs' objectives towards the goals established by the Secretary of the Navy. The FIAR Analyst will perform test procedures and evaluate results based on the prescribed internal control testing plan. Additionally, the analyst will review requested Key Supporting Documents (KSDs) for completeness and accuracy, provide and upload testing results and required KSDs to the requesting activity using designated tools and systems on set deadlines, and gather information and documentation to prepare discussions to brief CNSP process owners on internal controls and their effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to accomplish MICP and FIAR programs' objectives towards the goals established by the Secretary of the Navy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of direct working experience supporting DoD accounting.
  • Experience with Continuous Process Improvement principles and tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong Customer Service skills.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude.
  • Ability to work under direction and independently, be self-motivated, and result-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize work and schedules to adjust to multiple and evolving priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and exhibit creative problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • US Navy experience as a Supply Officer or Senior Enlisted
  • Lean Sigma Six or PMP certification
  • Active Secret Clearance
