The Financial Operations Analyst at Gallagher Benefit Services plays a crucial role in understanding, executing, and enhancing various organizational processes, with a primary focus on the administration of the Producer Incentive Compensation Program. This position requires a collaborative approach, working cross-functionally with strategic finance partners and key branch stakeholders to ensure that all processes are implemented effectively and that branches are adequately funded for producer compensation expenses. The analyst will also have opportunities to investigate efficiencies within existing processes or create new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to address unresolved issues that impact daily operations. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for several essential duties, including the administration of bonus calculations. This involves compiling producer Books of Business for review and analysis of annual compensation calculations, analyzing and investigating large variances for accuracy, and communicating results to branch leadership to ensure management understanding and agreement. The analyst will work cross-functionally to resolve any unexpected results or disputes related to producer compensation, ensuring that all stakeholders are in agreement before final processing. Additionally, the analyst will conduct Book of Business analysis and validation, understanding producer assignments within respective books across regions or divisions. This includes communicating with the strategic finance team and business partners to determine necessary changes and analyzing results to ensure that any changes are understood and acted upon appropriately. The role also involves expense analysis, including monthly and annual reviews of bonus accrual accounts and comparisons of producer compensation expenses to revenue and key performance indicators (KPIs). The Financial Operations Analyst will also perform annual reviews of finance operations and data-oriented processes to determine their efficiency and effectiveness, proposing and implementing solutions to any issues identified. Support for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) will also be part of the role, assisting with new acquisition partner compensation plan tracking and administration, and facilitating transitions from legacy compensation programs to the standard GBS compensation model. Other responsibilities include oversight of monthly compensation submissions and participation in ad hoc projects as requested.
