The Financial Operations Analyst at Elevance Health plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting both internally and externally. This position is designed for individuals who are experienced in tactical, transactional financial operations, focusing on exception transactions. The analyst will be responsible for completing various financial activities, which include maintaining performance management reporting and supporting accurate balance sheet and profit and loss reporting. The role requires the development of technical solutions to complex business issues, often involving the creation of spreadsheets that will be utilized by lower-level positions. In this role, the analyst will perform tactical data analysis and may assist other analysts with moderately complex data analysis tasks. Effective communication is essential, as the analyst will need to communicate exception items with all relevant areas to ensure ongoing data accuracy. The position also involves providing tactical recommendations based on data analysis, business situations, and a moderate understanding of systems. The analyst will handle escalated customer inquiries and may need to contact management in operations, sales compensation, and sales departments. Additionally, the analyst will work closely with processors to address enrollment and billing issues and act as a liaison with banks regarding premium collection status. The role also includes coordinating activities and providing training for lower-level associates, as well as assisting with system testing of IT-related projects and the implementation of application software releases within the Finance organization.
