The Financial Operations Analyst position at The Ohio State University is a critical role within the Clinical Research Finance & Compliance (CRFC) Department, which is responsible for the accounting and analysis of key financials for all Oncology clinical trials, with a particular focus on revenue. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including revenue recognition and forecasting, project costing, negotiation of contract terms, monthly reconciliation and invoicing, coverage analysis, patient claim review, patient reimbursement, and assistance with internal audit requests. The department plays a vital role in supporting the Clinical Trials Office (CTO), Principal Investigators (PIs), and various Business Units across the Medical Center and College of Medicine, ensuring effective financial communication and transactions with external customers. As a Financial Analyst, you will serve as a technical resource, assisting in the development, negotiation, and administration of budgets for assigned disease-specific research groups (DSRGs). Your contributions will be essential in achieving financial and business objectives through accurate and timely reporting of revenue and costs for your assigned portfolio of projects. This role requires collaboration across various functions, working closely with PIs, CTO, and ancillary services, while maintaining information, processes, workflows, and tools that support the provision of financial services throughout the project lifecycle. The position demands a strong foundation in accounting and finance, coupled with excellent analytical skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
