About the position

UC Riverside's Auxiliary Finance and Business Operations is recruiting for a Financial Operations Analyst. This position plays a crucial role in providing transactional and analytical support to Auxiliary Services, focusing on various financial operations including procurement, payment processing, reimbursements, travel management, billing, and asset inventory. The Financial Operations Analyst will be responsible for reconciling accounts and providing accounting support related to both expense and revenue operations. This role also involves generating scheduled and ad hoc reports to assist in financial decision-making and operational efficiency. In addition to transactional support, the Financial Operations Analyst will assign appropriate funding sources, assist with tracking transactions, and follow up on outstanding issues, particularly those related to encumbrances. The position requires participation in operational and practice reviews, where the analyst will make recommendations based on best practices and compliance with local, UC, and state regulations. Collaboration with internal department units, as well as Central Purchasing, Accounting, and Accounts Payable, is essential to resolve issues and coordinate services effectively. The Financial Operations Analyst will also assist with the annual fiscal close process, ensuring that all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported. Strong communication skills are necessary, as the analyst will be expected to lead discussions and present findings in group settings. This position is full-time, with a standard schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, and offers a competitive salary range based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transactional and analytical support to Auxiliary Services in procurement, payment, reimbursements, travel, billing, and asset inventory.
  • Offer reconciliation and accounting support for expense and revenue operations.
  • Generate scheduled and ad hoc financial reports.
