About the position

The Finance Operations Audit Analyst position at Brown & Brown involves working within the Internal Audit team to assess and report on the financial operations of the company's profit centers. Responsibilities

• Prepare, complete, and review various sections of audits according to audit programs.
• Perform interviews, obtain and analyze information, and communicate test results.
• Document work accurately and organized to support conclusions reached.
• Conduct self-reviews of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Manage multiple projects and follow up on open items to meet deadlines.
• Keep the Director/Manager of Internal Audit and Team Leader informed on review status and observations.
• Conduct audit observation re-tests to ensure action plans have been implemented.
• Create travel arrangements for each review.
• Mentor and coach new team members of the Internal Audit Team.
• Perform Due Diligence for potential acquisitions as required.
• Complete other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Director or Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years' experience in accounting or audit positions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Willing and able to travel; minimal.

Nice-to-haves

• Willing to pursue or have CPA, CIA, CFE and/or various insurance designations.
