About the position

As a Financial Operations Coordinator at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects, implementations, and training sessions aimed at enhancing process improvements within the financial operations team. This position is integral to the Financial Strategy and Operations function, where you will be responsible for maintaining essential accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls. Your contributions will help ensure that the financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, aligning with the company's strategic goals. In this role, you will collect and analyze data related to transactional activities, which includes vendor invoice processing, tax processing, lease administration, and cash receipt applications. You will evaluate process improvement initiatives that have been identified and assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic inquiries and requests from internal customers. Your ability to implement process improvements and communicate results to stakeholders will be key to your success in this position. You will be expected to respond to simple inquiries from internal customers and utilize existing procedures to address straightforward problems. While your discretion may be limited, you will have a clear understanding of your duties, methods, and tasks, which will be described in detail. Your output will be delivered by adhering to defined procedures and processes, all while working under close supervision and guidance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
