About the position

As a Financial Operations Specialist / Account Manager at Certified Pro Advisors, LLC, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations for our clients. This position is designed for an individual who is not only skilled in accounting but also possesses the ability to communicate effectively with clients. You will be responsible for coordinating with clients to gather necessary information, handling bank reconciliations, and processing transactions. Your role will also involve organizing and updating financial records, analyzing transactions, and preparing detailed reports. Additionally, you will be expected to work on special projects that may arise, which could include attending client meetings or calls in a support capacity. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. At CPA, we are rethinking traditional accounting practices. Our small business clients view us as their accounting department, and we leverage technology to eliminate repetitive tasks and implement efficient processes. This allows us to provide a cost-effective accounting system that meets the unique needs of each client. You will be working on-site for one of our clients while also managing 4-6 remote clients, making flexibility and adaptability key components of this role. Your ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously will be essential to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients on information requests
  • Handle bank reconciliations and transaction processing
  • Organize and update financial records
  • Analyze transactions and prepare reports
  • Work on special projects that will arise on a regular basis, including attending client meetings or calls in a support role

Requirements

  • 3-5 years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
  • Confidence in communicating with clients on various accounting topics
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills to meet and exceed deadlines
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software and tools is a plus
