About the position

Heritage Wine & Spirits is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Operations Specialist to manage various financial processes, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable, inventory reconciliation, and reporting. This role is crucial for maintaining financial integrity and supporting the operational needs of the company in the wine and spirits market across Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage invoices for accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter inventory cycle counts and conduct regular inventory reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Collaborate with the inventory team to track stock levels and product availability, publishing daily inventory reports.
• Assist in setting up new accounts and products in the beverage industry specific software platform, ensuring compliance with necessary documentation.
• Reconcile, generate, and analyze financial reports related to accounts, inventory, and route operations on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, finance operations, accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office or other accounting software platforms, with excellent Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
