About the position

As a Financial Ops Coordinator at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects, implementations, and training sessions aimed at enhancing process improvements within the finance department. This entry-level position is based entirely in-office at our Memphis, TN location, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial operations sector. The role is integral to the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, which is responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls. You will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on streamlining processes and ensuring compliance with established financial protocols. In this position, you will be tasked with collecting data on transactional activities, which includes vendor invoice processing, tax processing, lease administration, and cash receipt applications. You will also troubleshoot and resolve basic inquiries and requests from internal customers, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently. Your contributions will be vital in assisting with the implementation of process improvements, and you will be expected to provide results to stakeholders to demonstrate the effectiveness of these enhancements. The role requires you to respond to simple inquiries from internal customers and utilize existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. While you will have limited opportunities to exercise discretion, your ability to follow basic work routines and standards will be essential in maintaining the integrity of financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data on transactional activities including vendor invoice processing, tax processing, lease administration, and cash receipt applications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
