About the position

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst role at Bureau Veritas in Knoxville, TN, is focused on providing essential support for the financial planning and analysis function within the US Consumer Products Services division. This position acts as a business partner to local and US Healthcare leadership, delivering financial information, analysis, and reporting to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements. The analyst will coordinate financial statements, assist in budget processes, and conduct productivity analyses to drive financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating financial statements for monthly close, including analysis of results and reporting.
  • Develop and coordinate the forecast and annual budget processes.
  • Perform regular analyses on costs and productivity, interpreting variances versus targets.
  • Prepare recommendations and collaborate with local management for improvement actions.
  • Plan necessary tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with operations to understand business units and analyze their effectiveness.
  • Complete other duties as defined by the Manager based on department needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a closely related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of honesty, integrity, and work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with JD Edwards ERP software.
