About the position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) to support the Accounting Team and Financial Planning and Analysis Team. This role involves managing complex accounting and financial tasks, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The analyst will play a crucial role in financial forecasting, project reviews, and audit support, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage input of corrections requested by operations.
  • Review and record weekly time sheet corrections.
  • Review project set up in Costpoint.
  • Prepare and review monthly contract reviews and financial reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (Budget).
  • Assist with financial forecasts throughout the year.
  • Develop processes and reports for monthly review of rates for accurate revenue calculations.
  • Assist in the preparation of Schedule I's and other schedules for the annual Incurred Cost Submission.
  • Support and assist with external/internal audit requests including DCAA and year-end audits.
  • Provide financial and regulatory reports as required by law and company regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal company procedures and government regulations.
  • Prepare and review projects for close outs and final invoices/revenue adjustments/unbilled.
  • Compare, contrast, and combine information to determine underlying issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA in Accounting/Finance
  • At least 3 years of professional experience
  • Experience with Deltek Cost Point and Government contracting
  • Strong financial analytical ability and knowledge of corporate finance principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload
  • Ability to accumulate, organize, and manipulate quantitative data
  • Effective interaction with all levels of the company
  • Initiative and independence in performing responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 5 years of professional experience
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
