The Financial Planning Analyst at Rolling Hills Casino plays a crucial role in managing the development, design, execution, and analysis of processes that evaluate the effectiveness of the company's current assets and investments. This position is essential for ensuring that the company's excess working capital is utilized in the most efficient manner possible. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators, which encompass all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures. By monitoring these performance indicators, the analyst will highlight trends and analyze the causes of any unexpected variances, providing valuable insights to the management team. In collaboration with the FP&A Manager, the Financial Planning Analyst will assist in preparing monthly forecasts and identifying relevant metrics that gauge performance. This includes determining the relative importance of various business drivers and making actionable recommendations to management to help meet or exceed organizational goals. The analyst will also develop comprehensive reports for senior management that detail periodic results—monthly, quarterly, and yearly—along with variance analyses, explanations, and recommended actions. The role involves ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as well as contributing to the ongoing development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plans, and modeling tools. The Financial Planning Analyst will work to improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand the return on investment (ROI) in various areas, including marketing programs, gaming performance, food and beverage pricing, and new projects. Additionally, the analyst will develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes. This position also requires preparing presentations for the Tribal Council and the Senior Management Team, ensuring that complex financial information is communicated effectively.
