About the position

Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our team! Under the direction of the Director of Fiscal Services, the Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for developing financial business plans and models to evaluate current and future business strategies and outcomes for Aspirus entities. This role provides essential financial, analytical, and accounting support to the Director of Fiscal Services and the Chief Financial Officer. The position is full-time, requiring 80 hours biweekly, and is integral to the financial health and strategic planning of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting standards and practices, which is typically acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area. Additionally, the candidate should possess a minimum of three to five years of financial management experience, preferably within a healthcare setting. CPA status is considered beneficial, and the candidate must meet annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on the entity and/or job position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial business plans and models to evaluate current and future business strategies and outcomes for Aspirus entities.
  • Provide financial, analytical, and accounting support to the Director of Fiscal Services and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to assist in decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and insights.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.
  • A minimum of three to five years' financial management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
  • CPA status is beneficial.
  • Ability to meet annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies.
