The Financial Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in managing the development, design, execution, and analysis of processes that evaluate whether the company's current assets and investments are the best use of excess working capital. This position is essential for ensuring that the financial strategies align with the company's goals and objectives, providing insights that drive decision-making at the highest levels of management. In this role, the analyst will analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators across various areas, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures. Monitoring performance indicators is a key responsibility, as it involves highlighting trends and analyzing the causes of any unexpected variances. The analyst will assist the FP&A Manager in preparing monthly forecasts and reporting on relevant metrics that gauge performance, determining the relative importance of business drivers and recommending actionable items for management to meet or exceed their goals. The Financial Planning Analyst will also develop comprehensive reports for senior management that detail periodic results—monthly, quarterly, and yearly—providing analysis of variances along with explanations and recommended actions. Ad-hoc reporting and analysis will be part of the job, as well as assisting in the ongoing development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plans, and modeling tools. The analyst will work to improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand the return on investment (ROI) in various programs, including marketing, gaming performance, and food and beverage pricing. Additionally, the role involves developing financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, analyzing complex financial information to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management, and supporting the Senior Management Team and department heads with in-depth analysis. Preparing presentations for the Tribal Council and Senior Management Team is also a key aspect of this position, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
