About the position

The Financial Relationship Banker plays a crucial role in fostering and maintaining consumer and business customer relationships within a branch banking environment. This position emphasizes excellent customer service, proactive engagement to identify financial needs, and the promotion of banking products and services to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments and referrals.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships.
  • Educating customers on optimizing their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking).
  • Maintaining knowledge of all products, services, technology, and policies.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales.
  • Experience in business-to-business sales or military service in relevant roles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service and sales in banking or financial services.
  • Ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships.
  • Demonstrated acumen in banking, sales, investments, and consumer lending.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking.
  • Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.
