About the position

The Financial Representative Trainee position is designed for driven and self-motivated individuals eager to start a career in the financial services industry. This role is part of an Accelerator Program that provides comprehensive training in selling Individual Insurance products and building a sustainable financial practice. Trainees will receive mentorship and hands-on experience to develop the necessary skills for success in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a comprehensive program to develop skills for providing holistic financial advice to clients.
  • Contribute to classroom discussions and participate in goal-setting sessions and progress evaluations.
  • Gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients and pass a sales process competency test.
  • Cultivate and sustain prospecting skills through personal networks, community events, and social media.
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of product offerings and demonstrate expertise in their features and benefits.
  • Oversee the completion of content, proposals, and paperwork flow throughout the field and Home Office.

Requirements

  • Meet all trainee program requirements to gain necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Obtain required insurance licenses prior to starting the job, with up to two attempts allowed for the Life and Health exam.
  • Pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing, with securities licensing required within 24 months of entry into the program.
  • Be highly self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Benefits

  • Hourly wage of $16/hour during the trainee period, with a promotion to a Financial Representative at $36,000 annual base plus unlimited monthly sales incentive after 30 days.
  • $1000 bonus after successful completion of the trainee period.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Up to 15 days of vacation each year for regular associates working 40 hours a week.
