About the position

The Financial Representative Trainee position is designed for individuals eager to start a career in the financial services industry. This role involves participating in a comprehensive training program that equips trainees with the necessary skills to sell Individual Insurance products and build a sustainable financial practice. The program includes self-study, hands-on projects, and mentorship, ultimately leading to a promotion to a Financial Representative role with a base salary and sales incentives.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop skills for providing holistic financial advice.
• Contribute to classroom discussions and participate in goal-setting sessions and progress evaluations.
• Gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients.
• Cultivate prospecting skills through personal networks, community events, and social media.
• Oversee the completion of content, proposals, and paperwork to ensure a seamless application and underwriting process.

Requirements

• Meet all trainee program requirements and gain necessary skills and knowledge.
• Obtain required insurance licenses prior to starting the job, with up to two attempts allowed for the Life and Health exam.
• Pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing, with securities licensing required within 24 months.
• Be highly self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Travel up to 50% of the time and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Benefits

• Hourly wage of $16/hour during the trainee period, lasting up to 30 days.
• Promotion to Financial Representative with a $36,000 annual base salary plus unlimited monthly sales incentives.
• $1,000 bonus after successful completion of the trainee period.
