About the position

As a Financial Representative Trainee, you will engage in a structured program designed to develop your skills in selling Individual Insurance products. This role combines self-study with hands-on projects, preparing you for a successful career as a Financial Advisor. The position offers a starting wage of $16/hour, with the potential for promotion to a Financial Representative with a base salary of $36,000 plus sales incentives after completing licensing and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop skills for providing holistic financial advice.
  • Contribute to classroom discussions and participate in goal-setting sessions and progress evaluations.
  • Demonstrate sales skills and pass a sales process competency test.
  • Gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners.
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of product offerings and demonstrate expertise in their features and benefits.
  • Oversee the completion of content, proposals, and paperwork flow throughout the field and Home Office.

Requirements

  • Ability to successfully achieve criteria of Trainee Program.
  • Ability to pass and apply for appropriate insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job.
  • Must pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
