About the position

The Financial Reporting Analyst, Investment Reporting plays a crucial role in supporting the acquisition of new investments and managing quarterly financial reporting for the current portfolio investments. This position requires a blend of analytical skills and financial acumen to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. The analyst will conduct both primary and secondary research on governing documents and other necessary documentation to support the valuation and advance rate for potential acquisitions of new portfolio investments. This involves a thorough understanding of the investment landscape and the ability to interpret complex financial data. In addition to research, the analyst will provide quantitative and analytical support for valuing the existing portfolio of investments, particularly during the quarterly financial statement reporting process. This requires interfacing with multiple groups within the firm, including Originations, Risk, and Accounting, to ensure a seamless flow of information and accurate reporting. The role also involves assisting in the development of a proprietary data system that will serve as a repository for investment-level history and derivative calculations, which are essential for monitoring the portfolio. The Financial Reporting Analyst will also assist Underwriting with ad hoc modeling projects related to valuation or advance rate analysis. As the analyst develops their knowledge and technical understanding over several cycles, they will position themselves as a candidate for promotion to Underwriting Associate.
