About the position

The Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager at Aeroseal plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while optimizing processes and internal controls. This position involves technical reviews of company transactions, supporting acquisitions, and preparing consolidated financial reports. The individual will collaborate across departments and drive initiatives related to revenue recognition, stock transactions, and compliance with audit and tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, footnote disclosures, and statement of cash flows to enhance the company's accounting and disclosure standards.
• Manage equity and stock-based compensation accounting, including preparation of the statement of stockholder's equity.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements for international entities.
• Support purchase accounting for acquisitions.
• Research and provide technical accounting advice to the accounting department and finance organization.
• Assess risk and assist in creating effective internal controls over accounting and financial reporting.
• Develop new policies and analyze the impact of changes on historical periods and financial disclosures.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a public accounting firm
• Highly skilled and knowledgeable in US GAAP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong working relationships
• Demonstrable leadership ability and experience in building and working with high-performing teams
• Experience with financial systems, preferably NetSuite.
