About the position

The Financial Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in a multi-billion dollar industry leader, focusing on developing a team and impacting a global, publicly-traded company. This position involves coordinating with various teams to analyze financial data, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and developing financial models to identify business opportunities and risks. The role is hybrid, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various teams and perform complex analysis and prepare reports to summarize financial data.
  • Monitor and perform studies to interpret financial actions and modify accounting processes, providing technical advice and recommending improvements.
  • Develop financial models, prepare forecasts, and reporting tools to identify business opportunities and risks, ensuring better performance.
  • Analyze all financial reports and assist in improvement and execution processes, reviewing all earnings releases and administering investor presentations and conference call scripts for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements, file quarterly forms according to current requirements, and document new rules.
  • Develop and maintain supporting documents for all financial reports and evaluate them for various departments and committees.
  • Coordinate with various departments to prepare recurring financial reporting packages.
  • Prepare press releases and financial statements, maintain adherence to reporting schedules, and inform clients of deadlines.
  • Review filings of competitors to ensure best practices for the company and comply with strict standards for periodic reporting.
  • Assist the financial reporting disclosure committee and prepare minutes for meetings.
  • Supervise revenue recognition programs and implement new methodologies, reviewing contracts to interpret financial issues and document them.
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls for the integration of closing processes and financial activities of the company.
  • Manage all communication with associates on issues like goal setting, feedback, performance planning, and appraisals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification required
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting
  • Public accounting experience highly preferred
