About the position

As a Financial Services Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the overall collection, reconciliation, and credit risk for our business accounts. This position requires a proactive approach to analyzing credit reports, industry credit group information, and credit references to recommend new credit and extensions of credit. You will be responsible for ensuring that our accounts are serviced with the necessary documentation and customer contact to facilitate timely payments of accounts receivable balances. Your ability to resolve deductions and disputes through effective communication with sales, customer service, and customers will be essential in maintaining our high standards of customer service. In this role, you will conduct credit reviews on assigned accounts to determine appropriate credit lines and minimize credit risk to the company. You will analyze and interpret credit reports from Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and Experian for new applications, assessing creditworthiness based on Werner's Commercial Credit Policy. Adhering to our established standards of work and work instructions for Analysts is critical, as is monitoring the department's general email box to respond to requests or forward them as necessary. Additionally, you will prepare standard reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and evaluate tax exemption certificates to determine exemption status for orders and accounts. Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall collection, reconciliation, and credit risk for a portfolio of assigned accounts.
  • Service assigned accounts with required documentation and customer contact to ensure timely payment of account receivable (A/R) balances.
  • Resolve deductions and disputes through extensive communication with sales, customer service, and customers.
  • Complete credit reviews on assigned accounts to determine appropriate credit lines and minimize credit risk to the company.
  • Analyze and interpret credit reports by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and Experian for new applications and determine credit worthiness based on Werner's Commercial Credit Policy.
  • Follow and adhere to Werner's Commercial Credit Policy, standards of work and work instructions for Analysts.
  • Monitor department general email box and respond to requests or forward as appropriate.
  • Prepare standard daily, weekly, or monthly reports as needed.
  • Evaluate tax exemption certificates to determine exemption status for orders and accounts.

Requirements

  • High school degree required.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
