About the position

The Financial Services Collections Specialist at CCS Companies is responsible for managing and collecting delinquent funds on high-balance accounts. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of over 400 accounts, engaging with customers to resolve outstanding debts while adhering to applicable laws and maintaining a professional demeanor. Responsibilities

• Collect delinquent funds on high-balance accounts placed with CCS for third-party collection.
• Manage a portfolio of 400+ accounts, making daily calls to resolve outstanding matters.
• Engage customers professionally and in compliance with debt collection laws.
• Comprehend and execute verbal and written directions from supervisors.
• Maintain knowledge of CCS clients' loan programs and converse intelligently with customers.
• Read and interpret information regarding clients, debtors, policies, and laws.
• Participate in problem-solving and decision-making activities.
• Perform skip tracing for accounts with incorrect contact data using various resources.
• Maintain a professional and courteous working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer one or more years of general collection experience or sales experience.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills; motivated and goal-oriented.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Ability to maintain a consistent full-time work schedule.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous skip tracing experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in collections, sales, or financial customer service (2 years preferred).
• Coachability and receptiveness to feedback.
