About the position

The position at EY involves working within the Financial Services Organization (FSO) to help clients evaluate and enhance their business operations. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, managing client teams, leading IT internal audit engagements, and assisting with business development activities across various financial services sectors. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor, leveraging their expertise to address complex challenges in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple client teams and lead IT internal audit engagements.
  • Integrate external audit processes and oversee SOC reporting.
  • Assist with business development activities across financial services sectors.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge on complex issues and procedures.
  • Create plans for accomplishing engagement objectives in compliance with professional standards.
  • Maintain relationships with client management and manage expectations around deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems and the client's business/industry.
  • Inspire teamwork and responsibility among team members through excellent project management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience.
  • A degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience as an IT auditor or IT risk advisor in a public accounting firm, professional services firm, or financial services company.
  • Solid experience leading IT internal audit, external audit, SOC reporting, and IT internal controls engagements.
  • Experience with internal audit risk assessments, SOX/internal controls, and tools in the financial services sector.
  • Strong project management skills and advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • CA, CGEIT, CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CMA, CPA, and CRISC certification is desired; non-certified hires must become certified within 1 year.
  • Other relevant certifications or credentials may be acceptable substitutes with written consent.
