About the position

The Staff position in Financial Services Risk Transformation Technology Platforms at EY involves assisting global financial services firms with technology improvements in regulatory compliance areas. The role focuses on delivering regulatory remediation, process and technology enhancements, and insights through enabling technologies in areas such as anti-money laundering, sanctions, and fraud. The position is client-facing and requires collaboration with a diverse team to solve complex challenges in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of processes, solutions, and projects by delivering agreed activities and presenting relevant information to inform recommendations.
  • Accountable for delivering own work and meeting required targets impacting the immediate team.
  • Meet performance objectives and metrics set locally, including client service, quality and risk management, and business growth.
  • Identify and define user/customer requirements, focusing on developing user interfaces in mobile, web, and tablets using standard tools and frameworks in an agile manner.
  • Develop software components and services that interact with upstream and downstream components, coding and creating specifications to support business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 1-2 years of work experience or knowledge in data analysis using structured or unstructured databases.
  • 1-2 years of work experience or relevant exposure in developing and managing ETL pipelines or workflows.
  • 1-2 years of work experience or basic understanding of data model development, including query optimization techniques.
  • 0-1 year of work experience or exposure in defining, analyzing, and mapping technology business requirements.
  • Familiarity with Git integration and version control systems.
  • Conduct quality assurance and testing.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies for delivery and development.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel at 0%-25%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.
  • Familiarity with programming languages, including Python and/or Java.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Alteryx, and data analytical tools such as R.
